Who can attend the TSD Conference and Trade Show?

Transportation professionals nationwide who want to learn the latest trends in special needs transportation training, products and services. They also learn about how to produce better, more quantifiable results from their transportation team and operations. 

Attendees include: Transportation Directors and Supervisors, Purchasing Agents, School Bus Members, Superintendents, Fleet Managers, Mechanics and Technicians, Safety Trainers, Administrators, Special Education Professionals, Private Fleet Operators, Head Start/Childcare Professionals, Executives and CEOs, School Bus Dealers, and Driver Trainers. 

How do I register for the conference?

Visit the home page of the TSD Conference website and click on the “Attendee Registration” button in the center of the page. This will take you to the third-party registration site, EdgeReg.   

You will see three registration type options to choose from:  

  1. Main Conference Attendee  
  2. NHTSA Child Passenger Safety course 
  3. Trade Show Only  

How do I attend special trainings?

Want to attend this course AND the conference and trade show? Click on the “Attendee Registration” button and select the registration type called “Main Conference Attendee”. Then, check the box next to the training you desire and proceed with your registration. 

Training Options:  

1. Transportation Directors Summit (2-Day Experience)  

  • Must apply and be accepted to attend. Applications will be reviewed upon submission, and our team will follow up with confirmation. A pre-event survey must be completed in advance to participate. 
  • Complimentary with Main Conference Registration 
  • Dates: November 4-5, 2026 
  • Location: Embassy Suites Frisco & Omni PGA Frisco Resort (Transportation provided)

2. AMF Mastering Wheelchair & Occupant Securement Training Certification Class 

  • Certification will be provided upon completion of this course. 
  • This seminar is available to Main Conference Attendees but requires separate registration at no extra charge. Class size is limited to 75 participants. 
  • Date: Friday, November 6, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. 
  • Location: Embassy Suites Dallas-Frisco 

3. Wheelchair Securement Training | Special Needs Roadeo 

  • No separate registration required. Walk in only. 
  • Date: Friday, November 6, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. 
  • Location: Embassy Suites Dallas-Frisco  

4. Hands-on School Bus Evacuations for Students with Special Needs & Preschoolers 

  • This seminar is available as an add-on to Main Conference registration. Registration and fees required. 
  • Additional Training Price ($199 rate good through 10/2/26; $249 until 11/5/26 or until class is full). 
  • Date: Saturday, November 7, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. 
  • Location: Prosper ISD (Transportation Provided) 

5. NHTSA Child Passenger Safety on School Buses National Training 

  • This seminar is available as an add-on to Main Conference registration or can be taken by itself. Registration and fees required. 
  • Additional Training Price ($199 rate good through 10/2/26; $249 until 11/5/26 or until class is full). 
  • Date: Thursday, November 5, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. 
  • Location: Embassy Suites Frisco 

6. ROADEO Presented by WIT. (Women in Transportation.) 

How much are registration fees?

Main Conference Attendee Access ($399 Super Early Bird rate ends 8/7/26; $499 Early Bird rate ends 10/2/26 or $599 standard pricing begins 10/3/26)

Main Conference Attendees can ADD the NHTSA Child Passenger Safety Course scheduled for Thursday, November 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Register as Main Conference Attendee and then add this course in the Optional Session section ($199 rate good through 10/2/26; $249 until 11/5/26 or until class is full). 

Main Conference Attendees can add a Guest to their registration for an additional $150. Guest registrations are for spouses and non-transportation friend who are accompanying Main Conference Attendees. Guests can only be added onsite. Please see the registration staff for details.

Trade Show Only Attendees can add more Trade Show Only Attendees at the end of their registration. This process will link these attendees into one group (good for payment purposes). 

NHTSA Child Passenger Safety on School Bus Training Access 

Includes: 

ONLY this one-day, 8-hour course scheduled for Thursday, November 5 at the Embassy Suites Dallas-Frisco Hotel (same venue as the conference). NO access to the conference and trade show. These attendees CANNOT add Guests to their registrations. Seating is limited for this course. 

Two Ways to Register: 

  1. Want to attend this course ONLY? Meaning, you are NOT attending the conference and trade show? Click on the “Attendee Registration” button and select the registration type called “NHTSA Child Passenger Safety Training ONLY Registration”. 
  1. Want to attend this course AND the conference and trade show? Click on the “Attendee Registration” button and select the registration type called “Main Conference Attendee”. Then, check the box next to “NHTSA Child Passenger Safety Training ONLY Registration” and proceed with your registration. 

Can someone substitute for me if I cannot attend?

Yes, we accept substitutions. Please submit your request to our Events teams at events@stnmedia.com. Please specify the full name of the attendee who will be replaced, as well as the full name, title, company, email address, and phone number for the substitute attendee. 

How do I pay my balance?

To submit payment via Credit Card:  

  1. Retrieve the confirmation email sent to you once your registration was completed. Scroll down to the middle of the email and click on the link provided should you need to make changes to your registration record. This self-service link is unique for each registrant. Please do not share this link with other attendees.   
  1. You are now in your registration portal. Here you can submit payment, purchase additional registrations, add courses, and review and update your registration details. 
  1. Click on the PAY button on the top right corner and you’ll be able to pay the balance with your credit card.

Will I receive a registration confirmation?

Registration Confirmation  

Once you complete your registration, you will receive an email confirmation from EdgeReg (registration system provider) with your confirmation number for the conference.   

Note: If you registered from your school district/work computer, this email might get blocked, so please check your Spam, Junk or Clutter folders for this email. 

You must receive a confirmation number in order to be considered registered. If you do not receive an email once you finalize your registration, please contact the Events Team at events@stnmedia.com. 

Can I register on-site?

Yes. Please come to the registration desk to register on site. Please note that payment is due upon arrival. If paying with a P.O. on site, you will have up to 30 days after the conference to submit your balance. 

Can I register for the NHTSA Course on site? 

Yes, however, the NHTSA Course has limited seating. We recommend that our attendees register for the course ahead of time, as materials must be purchased before the conference. If additional seating is available upon your registration on site, you may add the NHTSA Course to your agenda. Please note that payment is due upon arrival. 

Are meals included?

Food and beverages are provided during select TSD Conference and Trade Show events. Meals currently included with registration are: 

  • Thursday, November 5: Welcome Party at Topgolf (sponsored food and drinks)  
  • Friday, November 6: Ride & Drive and Technology Demonstration (sponsored food and drinks)  
  • Sunday, November 8: TSD Trade Show and Tailgate Reception (dinner and drinks)  

In addition, certain off-site training activities may include lunch as part of the program. Lunch will also be available to all Main Conference attendees when sponsored Lunch and Learn sessions are scheduled. Please refer to the conference agenda for participating sessions and meal availability. 

On days with breakout sessions, attendees are encouraged to have lunch on their own at the Embassy Suites or nearby restaurants. Will I receive a certificate of attendance?

You will be able to download a copy of your participation certificate at the end of the conference. The download will be available from the conference mobile app in the surveys tab.

Do I have to sign up for general & breakout sessions?

No. As a Main Conference Attendee, you are welcome to attend any General Session, Keynote Session, or breakout session throughout the conference without signing up in advance. 

However, some optional leadership summit and hands-on training may require advance registration, additional fees, qualification requirements, or have limited capacity. Please refer to the conference agenda for session-specific requirements. 

Please note: Trade Show Only registrants and Guest Pass holders may attend only the events included with their registration and do not have access to conference educational sessions or training activities. 

When does registration open on site?

On-site Registration (Specific time will be announced on-site): 

Wednesday, November 4, 2026 – Transportation Directors Summit & NHTSA Child Passenger Safety Training Attendees ONLY.  

Thursday, November 5, - Sunday, November 8 – Open to all attendees  

What hotel should I stay in? Can you help me arrange that?

For your convenience, we have reserved a room block at the Embassy Suites Dallas – Frisco Hotel and Convention Center. Room nights are limited, so we recommend making your reservations as soon as possible. We do not reserve room per attendee, however, you can reserve your own room two ways: You can book a room through the TSD Conference website by clicking on the Hotel-Travel tab at the top of the home page, and then clicking on the “Book a Room” button on the Travel webpage. Or, you can call the Embassy Suites Dallas - Frisco directly at (800) 325-0720 and ask for the reservations department. Let them know that you want to book a room at the TSD conference rate using group code 920. 

Can I bring my spouse, friend, or family member to the TSD Conference and Trade Show?

Yes. Guest registrations are intended for spouses and non-transportation professionals accompanying a Main Conference Attendee. Guest Passes may be purchased onsite only at the Registration Desk. 
 

Guest Pass holders may attend designated social events and the Trade Show but do not have access to conference educational sessions, workshops, training activities, or other events reserved for Main Conference attendees. 

The TSD Conference and Trade Show is a professional business event designed for adult transportation professionals. Guest Passes are intended for adult spouses and non-transportation companions. Guests under the age of 18 are generally discouraged and may attend only with prior approval from STN. If approved, guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult at all times and must have a Guest Pass. 
 

Please note that conference networking and social events include alcohol service. STN reserves the right to restrict access to these events in accordance with venue policies and applicable laws.

What do you recommend for spouses to do while the conference is going on?

The Embassy Suites Dallas-Frisco Hotel, Convention Center & Spa is located in the north Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas. The hotel offers two-room suites the feature a separate living room with a sofa bed and private bedroom. Enjoy wired and wireless internet access, two flat-screen TVs, a refrigerator and microwave. Amenities include free cooked-to-order breakfast, complimentary appetizers and beverages at the daily Evening Reception. The hotel features an indoor pool and 24 hour fitness facilities. The hotel is connected to the Frisco Conference Center adjacent to Riders Field and is only 25 minutes from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), 15 miles from Dallas Love Field (DAL), and 10 miles from Addison Executive Airport.

Do I need to rent a car? How far is the airport from the conference?

The hotel is conveniently connected to the Frisco Conference Center and located adjacent to Riders Field. It is easily accessible from the area's major airports, including Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), approximately 25 minutes away, Dallas Love Field (DAL), approximately 15 miles away, and Addison Executive Airport, approximately 10 miles away. 

For attendees planning to explore the Dallas area outside of scheduled conference activities, we recommend using a rideshare service or renting a car. Transportation to and from all off-site conference events will be provided by STN. 

When should attendees arrive in Frisco, TX?

Limited conference registration opens on Wednesday, November 4, at the Embassy Suites Dallas-Frisco. Attendees participating in the Transportation Director's Summit or NHTSA Child Passenger Safety Training are encouraged to arrive and check in on Wednesday to ensure they are ready for their scheduled sessions. 

Main Conference attendees should plan to arrive and check in on Thursday, November 5, and join us that evening for the Welcome Party, a great opportunity to network and connect with fellow attendees before the conference begins. 

Do I have to attend all 6 days?

Attendees participating in the Transportation Directors Summit or NHTSA Child Passenger Safety Training are encouraged to attend from Wednesday through Tuesday to take full advantage of all training and conference activities. 

Main Conference attendees are encouraged to arrive on Thursday and participate through Tuesday afternoon or evening, allowing ample time to attend conference sessions, networking events, and other scheduled activities. 

Will I receive a certificate of attendance?

Yes. Certificates of Participation are available through the conference mobile app. To download your certificate, open the app, select the Survey button in the bottom menu, and click Download Participation Certificate. You may email, print, or save the certificate as a PDF.

How can I get a subscription to School Transportation News magazine?

As a Main Conference Attendee, your registration includes a FREE subscription to School Transportation News. During the registration process, please specify which format you would like to receive. What is the Dress Code?

Business casual attire is recommended for all sessions and networking events. For off-site activities or trainings, closed-toe shoes are required for safety. Certain tours or activities may require additional safety attire; details will be provided closer to the event.

Can I drive at the Ride & Drive + Technology Demonstration?

No. This event is designed to give attendees a firsthand opportunity to ride and experience the latest bus technology in action while enjoying food, beverages, and networking with industry peers. 

I have dietary restrictions. Will accommodations be available?

Dietary Restrictions or Food Allergies 
 
Please notify the STN Events Team at Events@stnmedia.com as early as possible before the conference if you have dietary restrictions or food allergies. STN will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary needs communicated in advance; however, we cannot guarantee that all requests can be accommodated or that food prepared by third-party venues and caterers will be free from cross-contact or allergens. 

Attendees with severe food allergies or medical dietary needs should plan accordingly, including bringing any necessary medications (such as an epinephrine auto-injector) and supplemental food items if needed. 

I need to cancel my registration. How do I do that?

When will the workshop schedule be published?

The workshop schedule will be announced approximately two months before the conference begins. A notification will be sent out via email. Be sure to visit our website at www.tsdconference.com for the newest updates, and follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and X for the latest news! 

Can I bring a guest or family member?

Guests may attend select social events and trade show with a paid Guest registration. Guests must register on site and do not have access to educational sessions.

This is a professional conference. For safety and liability reasons, children are not permitted at sessions, workshops, the trade show, or evening events. For questions, please contact events@stnmedia.com.

STN uses Snapsight to provide real-time translation and live text for select educational sessions. This feature can be accessed during the conference through the official conference mobile app. 

Availability varies by session. Please check the mobile app for session listings. Access to this feature is limited to registered attendees only. 

I require accessibility accommodations. What should I do?
